2018 Australia Day Honours
On Australia Day 2018, Robin Eckerman was recognised as a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for "for significant service to the telecommunications industry through roles in broadband infrastructure and network development, and to the energy supply sector".
Robin was elevated to the Pearcey Hall of Fame in 2016. He has been a pioneer in the Australian telecommunications industry for over twenty years. He led the establishment of Canberra's telecommunications provider TransACT and continues to share his knowledge and expertise in his role as an Adjunct Professor at Canberra University.
