The Pearcey Medal is a prestigious annual individual award that recognizes a distinguished lifetime achievement and contribution to the development and growth of the ICT industry in Australia. In 2017, we were delighted that Data61 at CSIRO once again sponsored the Pearcey Medal and the Pearcey Hall of Fame and that Dr Tim Wark, Director of Product, Programs & Marketing at Data61, made the presentations on 2 November at Sydney's Star.
The 2017 Pearcey Medallist was Emeritus Professor Mike Miller of the University of South Australia in Adelaide. The 2017 Hall of Fame was awarded to Senator (retired) Kate Lundy from the ACT and Helen Meredith doyen journalist of Australian ICT sector, from Queensland.
