ICT pioneer Andy Grove passes away aged 79

Andy Grove, semiconductor pioneer
One of the founders of semiconductor giant Intel, Andy Grove, passed away on the 21st March 2016 at the age of 79.
Andrew S. Grove was one of the true pioneers in the early chip business working with Gordon Moore and Charlie Sporck at Fairchild Semiconductor in the 1960s. Fairchild was responsible for the chips that steered Apollo 11 to the Moon.
He joined Noyce and Moore in 1968 to form Intel, where he played a key part in the rise of the their microprocessor business. Andy went on to become CEO (1987-1998) and Chairman of the Board (1997-2005).
